Several postdoctoral fellow openings are available in Qihua Xiong's group in Nanyang Technological University, in the area of steady-state and transient optical spectroscopy with a focus on optical properties of semiconductors (particularly on 2D transition metal dichalcogenides, organic-inorganic perovskites), surface plasmonics and exciton-plasmon coupling, nanolasers and laser cooling of solids. Applicants with background on Raman spectroscopy, transient absorption, steady-state and transient photoluminescence spectroscopy, non-linear optical properties are particularly encouraged to apply.

1. PhD in condensed matter physics, or materials science, or optical physics and engineering
2. Able to work independently and as part of a team with strong initiatives.
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. State-of-the art facility in Xiong's group and NTU common facility
5. Salary ranges from 4,000-6,000 S$/month. Prevailing benefit such as insurance is included for both the postdoctoral fellow and his family. Annual performance bonus is available subject to annual performance appraisal.
