Postdoc/Phd Openings at Nanyang Technology University (Field: Control and
Optimization for Distributed Intelligent Systems)
Several postdoc research fellow positions and PhD Assistantships/Scholarships are
available in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang
Technological University, Singapore, on the following topics:
Theoretical study:
1. Distributed control and optimization, game theory
2. Modeling and control of complex networked systems
3. Resilient/secure estimation and control
Systems/applications:
1. Energy efficiency solutions for smart buildings via networked sensing,
control, and optimization
2. Demand response and demand-side management of smart grid
3. Control, coordination and optimization of intelligent multi-robot systems;
cloud robotics
Some of the positions will be attached to the NTU-UC Berkeley program (under the
co-supervision of Prof Guoqiang Hu at Nanyang Technological University and Prof
Costas Spanos at University of California at Berkeley). Applicants for postdoc
research fellows are expected to hold a Ph.D degree in related areas, and have a
track record of competitive research experience in terms of journal publications.
Applicants for PhD Assistantship/Scholarship are expected to have outstanding
academic performance. GRE and Toefl are not required for outstanding candidates.
