Intelligent Robotics Research Center at CSST Smart China Research is looking for international highly motivated and dedicated researchers and developers with strong passion and experience in the areas of robotics and networking to join our team as Researcher or Engineer.
Tasks & Responsibilities
The researchers and developers will work towards creating cutting-edge robotic systems and turn it into products employed in smart cities. We are particularly interested in candidates who have
- Strong experience and passion for robotics research and development.
- Strong understanding of existing technology and trends.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and execute on a research project effectively.
- Demonstrated potentials for making world-class research impact and moving innovative technology into products.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities of the jobs involve:
- Develop and apply cutting-edge robotic technologies into smart cities.
- Collaborate with universities, research institutes and companies to conduct research.
- Understand market’s requirement and develop potential solutions.
- Stay current with latest research and technology ideas, share knowledge by clearly articulating results and ideas through papers, presentations to research staff.
- Publish in relevant top journals and conferences, contribute to CSST’s patent portfolio.
Knowledge & Skills
Numbers of positions from Research Engineer to technician in different area are now open.
Mechanical Engineer/Researcher:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines
- Experience in robotic systems or human-machine interfaces
- Working experience related to mechanical and appearance design is preferred
- Responsible for novel mechanical designs of robotic systems and the related devices
Electronic Engineer/Researcher:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering or relevant disciplines
- Experience in different type of actuators, sensing systems, renewable energy harvesting devices, or wireless communication
- Working experience related to robotic systems is preferred
- Responsible for the development of the electronic parts of the robotic systems and the related devices
Computer Vision Engineer/Researcher:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant disciplines
- Experience in real-time face/hand pose tracking, object tracking, visual navigation, image stabilization or augmented reality.
- Working experience related to robotic systems is preferred
- Responsible for the development of the real-time visual algorithms applied on robotic systems
Control Engineer/Researcher:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Automation Engineering, Robotic Engineering or relevant disciplines
- Experience in kinematics and dynamics modeling and simulation, data fusion, path planning, motion control, navigation or teleoperation
- Working experience related to robotic systems is preferred
- Responsible for the development of real-time control algorithms applied on robotic systems
Internet Engineer/Researcher:
- Master’s Degree or higher in Information Engineering, Internet Engineering or relevant disciplines
- Experience in Network architecture and infrastructure, web server and client programming, VoIP, SIP/SIMPLE, XMPP/JINGLE, etc.
- Working experience related to video conferencing, instant messaging and robotic systems is preferred
- Responsible for the development of communication networks
Embedded System Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering or relevant disciplines
- Experience in ARM, DSP, FPGA programming, embedded OS, real-time operating system (RTOS), Linux/Unix, Android
- Working experience related to robotic systems is preferred
- Responsible for the development of communication and control systems applied on robotic systems
