台风来袭时，大家曾否因不清楚餐厅重新营业的时间，匆忙中在宿舍中囤积了过量储粮？每每路过逸夫演艺中心的崭新琴室与琳琅满目的健身房，大家是否心驰神往却不清楚如何预约？亦或听闻科大幻灯片模板许久，而不知这份资源应向何处寻？关于在科大学习与生活的许多信息都可以方便地从对应网站中获取，然而科大官方并未给出新生友好的站点地图。有鉴于此，IT部对科大域名.ust.hk与.hkust.edu.hk进行子域名扫描后手动筛选，希望提供一份全面而精炼的字典，使从科大网站中能获得哪些信息/服务、获取这些信息/服务的具体网址又该去哪儿找这两则问题不再成为同学们在校生活学习的阻碍。
