12 months Contract BUSINESS ANALYTICS ANALYST
SUMMARY:
• One of the IT department’s key functions is to serve as the centre of competence on business analytics capability. Utilising the Enterprise Customer Data Warehouse and enabling technologies, IT provides strategic decision support across customer management, customer relations, revenue management and operations
• A recent IT initiative will enable us to build a one-to-one relationship with a wider group of customers who are not yet members of the loyalty programme. This will complete IT analytics capabilities to cover all customer types: members and other non-members
Purpose of position:
• With the addition of non-member profiles and behavioural information, this position will exploit the capabilities to generate insight to enable non-member management to deliver results
• He / she will analyse patterns of behaviour to identify insight, develop different behavioural and predictive models, make insight available for stakeholders, develop and revise measurement metrics and reports to facilitate daily operation and decision making on non-member management. He / she will also need to monitor trends and recommend actions on acquisition, as well as transition between non-member and member categories
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support and assist end users to conduct analysis on non-member behaviour to identify trends and issues
• Conduct analysis and regular review on non-member behaviour to identify new insights
• Communicate to and conduct training to end users on using new insight
• Help define requirements and participate in customer behavioural modelling projects
• Work with non-member business team to develop key performance indicators and reports
• Coordinate with IT and Business User stakeholders on test planning and execution
• Propose and follow through on post implementation benefit measurement
• Define data matching rules for profile creation and fuzzy matching
REQUIREMENTS:
• Tertiary education preferably in Business Studies, Statistics, Market Analysis, or related disciplines in customer IT fields
• 3+ years’ experience in CRM, loyalty management, revenue management, sales / distribution, IT related fields
• Experience with database management, query and reporting tools, as well as SQL knowledge a definite plus
• Numerate, good analytical skill, ability to understand and formulate business analysis
• High-level understanding of business strategy and how particular projects or campaigns drive business objectives to enable proactive analysis and sharing of data with business units
• Excellent interpersonal skills and abilities to communicate with all departments and levels
• Experience in project management an advantage
• Knowledge in these areas is a definite advantage: CIS, CLS, CRM, Calidris Rule Engine, RES / DCS, BI tools and system testing
