When connecting a normal VPN connection, the main gateway will be specified for the VPN network, meaning the Internet on the client machine will disappear or be used through a connection in a remote network. It is clear that this is at least inconvenient, and in some cases can lead to double payment for traffic (once in a remote network, the second time in the provider's network). To exclude this point, on the Network tab in the properties of the TCP/IPv4 Protocol, click the Advanced button and in the window that opens, uncheck Use the main gateway in the remote network.
