Application Development Software Engineer
Job Description:
Meridian Innovation is recruiting an experienced and highly energetic Software Engineer to join an exciting start-up. The position involves designing and coding of unique solutions to meet market requirements, often collaborating with other companies and products. You will participate in every phase of a project: definition of requirements, software design and coding, testing & system integration.
The ideal candidate is a highly mobile, adaptive and forward thinking individual, able to take ownership of complex processes while executing on immediate short term deliverables. Key skills will include complex problem solving, debugging and excellent documentation. Good presentation skills, a willingness and passion to learn new technologies. Teamwork is very important to Meridian Innovation, so the ability to work well with other programmers and development staff members is critical. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin is highly desirable.
Meridian Innovation is a well-funded start-up based in Hong Kong and Singapore, focusing on thermal imaging for commercial application. This is a unique opportunity to join our small, talented and very experienced team and help shape the future of our products.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor/Master degree in EE, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent 3
years of industry experience in application software programming
• Application development under IOS, Android, Windows and Mac OS is required
• JavaScript programming is required
• Experience in programming in C and/or C++ is desirable
• Computer Networks knowledge is required
• Experience with large software development projects with multiple developers using source/version control is highly desirable
• Experience in developing in Visual Studio is highly desirable
• Understanding of hardware subsystems and common peripheral buses I2C, SPI, USB, UART, frame grabber is desirable
• Experience with infrared and/or visible imaging technologies, image acquisition and processing is highly desirable but not require
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Project, Power Point
• Strong ownership and drive for success
• Proficient in English and Putonghua
